Rumbi Govah is an accomplished lawyer and qualified mediator with a passion for Family Law and Debt Review. She completed her LLB degree at the University of South Africa in 2014 and her legal training course approved by LEAD in 2015 through the University of Cape Town. Rumbi has gained extensive experience in Family Law and High Court Litigation through her clerkship at a law firm in Cape Town CBD. Since being admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2016, Rumbi has worked under the mentorship of Adri de Bruyn, gaining expertise in the National Credit Act and Debt Review.
Rumbi is currently the Senior Legal Manager at A de Bruyn Attorneys. She oversees the legal operations of the firm, specializing in Debt Review and Family Law. Rumbi is also a qualified Mediator and Dispute resolution practitioner and serves as an appointed Commissioner of the Small Claims Court. She presides over Small Claims Court matters in the Wynberg Magistrates Court.
Outside of her legal work, Rumbi is actively involved in community service and passionate about mediation in Family Law. She is part of a family law mediation organization known as “for the children’s sake,” where she invests a considerable amount of time in mediating parental disputes involving minor children. Rumbi firmly believes in using mediation as a tool in a restorative way to resolve parental conflicts in the best interests of the children. Overall, Rumbi is a dedicated and knowledgeable legal professional committed to serving her clients and improving her community.
